Zendaya and Nicole Kidman’s Actors on Actors Chat Is Pure Fangirl heaven!

Zendaya has officially claimed her spot in Nicole Kidman’s AMC-level heart (you know, the one where heartbreak feels good in a place like this). During their sit-down on Variety’s Actors on Actors, Kidman didn’t just fan over her Challengers performance—she went full “Dunie,” proudly declaring her fandom for Zendaya’s role in Dune. Honestly, same, Nicole..same.

The two icons shared a fun and surprisingly relatable chat about their careers, with Kidman hyping Zendaya’s Euphoria wins and calling her one of the most exciting talents of her generation. Zendaya, the humble queen, gushed right back, praising Nicole’s fearless performances and legendary career. Even mentioning the inspiration she took from Kidman’s iconic Moulin Rouge role. You could practically feel the admiration through the screen.

Nicole Kidman dropped the bomb that she and her kids are seriously fans of Zendaya. “I have a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old, so we’ve grown up with you,” she said, and Zendaya, being her usual humble self, immediately followed up with, “Oh, so sorry about that.” Honestly, Zendaya, we’d never apologize for being this iconic.

Kidman wasn’t done, though. She went full fangirl mode: “We’re obsessed. This is the highlight for me. I get to go home and go, ‘Look, Zendaya!’” Imagine Nicole Kidman casually flexing Zendaya to her kids like it’s no big deal, this is the energy we need more of. But it wasn’t all fangirling, there was some serious acting talk going on too.

Zendaya opened up about playing Rue in Euphoria, saying, “Rue just falls into me. I’m not thinking about it so much. It’s just like, ‘Oh, she’s here now.’” Like, yes, Zendaya, just casually embodying one of the most emotionally intense characters of the decade. But it wasn’t all easy “It was emotionally and physically draining, but it was so rewarding. I was so proud of it. It connected with people.”

Kidman asked, “Do you stagger out of that experience?” Zendaya gave us an honest answer: “Yes and no. While it was emotionally and physically draining, it was so rewarding.” Honestly, one season of Euphoria feels like running a marathon then immediately signing up for another one.

And for all the Euphoria fans on the edge of their seats waiting for season 3, Zendaya dropped a little nugget: “We’re supposed to do another season. I’ve only done two, but it feels like five. One season of Euphoria is like, ‘Phew!’” I mean, same. We’re still recovering from season 2’s emotional rollercoaster. (Zendaya, we need to know what happened with the damn suitcase Rue stole. Its been weighing on us for 2 very long years.)

This chat was like a crossover event we didn’t know we needed, Zendaya and Nicole Kidman, two legends, vibing and fangirling together—it doesn’t get much better than that.

Its a must-watch if you love hot successful talented women who are dominating Hollywood!

XOXO, your fellow Zendaya-and- Nicole Kidman stan.
