Joe Goldberg returns to New York City: YOU Season 5 teaser

YOU season 5 is on its way and we officially have a release date. Joe Goldberg will be back to terrorize our screens on April 24th.

In case you need a refresher, Season 4 left us with a Joe Goldberg who somehow managed to out Joe himself. After a wild ride through London, a fake identity as professor Jonathan Moore, and a murder spree, Joe wrapped things up by disposing of Rhys Montrose (the real Rhys and the imaginary one living in his head). He also tied up loose ends with his late ex-wife Love (whom he murdered) and secured a new love of his life. A very wealthy, smart and beautiful woman, Kate. Who for some reason cannot figure out Joe is a serial killer. Last we saw, the two of them were ready to take on the world with Joe finally embracing his dark side… as if he hasnt been openly murdering people for the last 4 seasons.

But as the logline for Season 5 goes, Joe’s “happily ever after” will be short-lived. “In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.” That’s right, Joe’s homecoming to NYC might be his last trip at all.

Whatever happens, one thing’s for sure, Joe Goldberg is not on a redemption tour. He’s going out with a murderous bang. It’s almost time to say goodbye to Joe… or maybe just watch him say goodbye to everyone else in New York City.
